Accepting and riding the ebb and flow of life is one of the great tools we learn as yoga practitioners that goes beyond our sticky mats. In this class we will begin with a delicious and grounding vinyasa flow to get our breath connected to our bodies and our minds and enable us to “drop in” to the moment, followed by a 30-minute yoga nidra session. The vinyasa portion of the class will help you get to a place where you can lay and be completely still for your nidra practice. Yoga nidra literally translates as the yoga of sleep, but it is different than nap time! In yoga nidra, you will practice conscious sleep, which means you will be awake in a deep state of relaxation. The practice moves us from our external layer (annamaya-kosha) to our deepest internal layer (anandamaya-kosha). Yoga nidra helps revive, heal and re-establish our consciousness and contributes to our hard work as yogis to become our highest selves.
