The side body is rarely given the starring role. In many of our favorite vinyasa classes, side bends tend to be peppered in at the end, right before savasana. What about a whole class dedicated to opening your sides? Did you know that specific, intelligently sequenced side body work can open the fascia around the ribs, allowing you to take a deeper breath? It can actually aid in dealing with anxiety and depression! This class will delve into the incredible anatomy of the side body, how we use it in asana, and how we can change it to take a deeper breath and live a fuller life.
