Steve Cosimano began yoga practice at the age of 20 under the guidance of Paramahansa Yogananda and began Taoist practice in 1993 with Master Mantak Chia. Since that time he has continued to learn different energy healing practices from various teachers. His main concentration is in Medical and Spiritual Qigong, Neigong and Longevity Practices. As a form of gentle exercise, Taoist Yoga or Qigong is composed of movements that are typically repeated, strengthening and stretching the body, increasing fluid movement (blood, synovial, and lymph) and improving balance. It is suitable for all age groups and all physical conditions. Qigong, Tai Chi and Bagua Practice creates an awareness of and influences dimensions of our being that are not part of traditional exercise programs. Classes provide general healing practices and individual practices to improve posture and respiration, reduce stress, induce the relaxation response, cause favorable changes in blood chemistry, and improve self-awareness and concentration. Research suggests that Qigong may be beneficial for Asthma, Arthritis, Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Headaches, Pain, and a wide variety of common ailments, while revitalizing the endocrine system, and reprograming the body for continued health and longevity.
